What inspired you to visit LA? I first visited because my husband who’s a DJ, was playing there. We also have family living there too, so it feels a bit like our home away from home.
Describe what makes it special in a sentence? The epitome of Cali cool where everyone seems to be inspired to be the best version of themselves.
What is LA best for? LA has a lot of traffic, but I do think it’s the best place to just cruise around.
Rebecca’s LA Packing List

Rebecca’s Little Black Book
Best place to stay: I prefer to stay in an Airbnb apartment, either downtown, in Silverlake or Santa Monica. It feels so much more cosy!
Where’s Best for Daytime Eating: I always go to Lemonade, definitely one of my first stops whenever I’m around. It’s basically healthy fast food and they have the best, predictably, lemonade. I also love Estrella, healthy and super fun spot with a great outdoor terrace. Last but certainly not least LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel for a yummy lunch or breakfast.

Where to Go for Dinner: Last time I was in LA I had dinner at Ysabel, such a cool place and amazing food and cocktails. Owned by the same people that have Laurel Hardware, also a must-go. Gjelina is my all time favourite! Best food in Venice Beach and Sugarfish has the most delicious sushi.
Where Best for a Sun-Downer Cocktail: Best place to catch a good sunset is the roof terrace at the Ace, it has decent cocktails and the coolest view. Or just head to Venice and grab a smoothie on the beach! LA basically has the best sunsets so everywhere with a view works.
Where Best for a Culture Hit: I love LACMA – both inside and out, it’s such a great place to go to. Also the Getty Center is interesting and has an amazing view.
Where Best for Outdoor Downtime: Rent a bicycle and go from Santa Monica to Venice Beach or the other way around. Enjoying the beach-life, people watching and being active at the same time!
Where to go for Sport: Hike up one of the canyons, my favourite route gets you to the Hollywood sign.
Where to go for a Day Trip: Malibu, or if you’re really excited drive to Palm Springs. it’s as if you’re stepping right back into the 70s, a retro oasis in the middle of the desert.
One experience you can’t miss while you’re there: The Rosebowl Fleamarket. The best place for all your vintage finds!
